화면을 가득 채운 검은 선과 구조적 텍스처는 현대 사회의 과잉된 물질성 혹은 쉼 없이 쌓여가는 기억의 층위를 연상시킨다. 이 숨 막힐 듯 빽빽한 밀집 속에서 시선을 사로잡는 것은 역설적이게도 거칠게 비워진 '흰 여백'이다.

이 틈새는 단순히 비어 있는 공간이 아니다. 가득 찬 물질들 사이에서 스스로의 존재감을 강렬하게 드러내는 '비물질의 형태'이자, 관객에게 던지는 하나의 질문이다. 모든 것이 과잉된 세계에서 우리가 잃어버린 감정, 혹은 지워진 기억의 파편은 어디로 향하는가? 거친 흑백의 대비를 통해 비물질적인 침묵과 부재가 어떻게 시각적 형태를 얻고 물리적인 무게를 가질 수 있는지 탐구하고자 했다.

The Density of Absence

The dense black lines and structural textures that saturate the surface evoke an excess of materiality, or perhaps the relentless accumulation of memory layers. Yet, paradoxically, what commands the viewer's attention within this suffocating density is the stark, unblemished white voids.

These chasms are not merely empty spaces; they are 'forms of the immaterial' that assert their presence violently against the surrounding matter. They function as a visual interrogation: In a world consumed by overproduction and noise, where do our lost emotions and erased memories reside? Through this stark monochrome contrast, the work explores how non-physical silence and absence can take on a tangible shape, capturing a weight of their own.
